NBA Season Underway...To A Funny Start

The 2008/2009 season has started and I am excited. OK so Oden is out 2-4 weeks and the Lakers are off to have an 80-2 record (gah!), but there is good stuff like the opening of the matchup of last season's early playoff matchup of the Suns and Spurs...

Oh yeah 2 thumbs up for that funny prank white bearded Pop! Shaq complained when the Spurs hacked him a lot back in the playoffs this last spring.

CSS Newbie...need help

UPDATE Fixed it today.

I am a CSS virgin and need to figure how to or need help with what seems a very easy edit. I just want my "danganet.blogspot.com" above my header picture to be centered. That's all.

Here is the "CSS/HTML" for that:

<*div id='header-wrapper'>
<*b:section class="header" id="header" maxwidgets="1" showaddelement="no">
<*b:widget id="Header1" locked="true" title="danganet.blogspot.com (Header)" type="Header">
<*b:includable id="main">

I put * because nothing else was displaying the HTML.

Was that gas or diesel? Why not surpise you!

SPRINGFIELD, Ore. - Drivers in the Eugene-Springfield area beware: you might be cruising around with some bad fuel. A gas mix-up at a Springfield station left several cars damaged, and there could be many more.

A fuel driver from Jackson Oil made a delivery to the 76 Fairway station on 4059 Main Street in Springfield on Monday at 2 p.m. However, it turns out he filled some diesel into the regular unleaded tanks, and some regular into the diesel tanks.

The 76 manager says they didn't find out until Tuesday at 8a.m.

Kroger recalls ground beef...charges you more to replace

Kroger recalled all styrofoam wrapped ground beef last week. I bought a package the day before they announced the recall. Since then I got a message on a receipt that said DO NOT CONSUME THIS PRODUCT. So I felt inclined to take it back to the store. I could either get a refund or replace the product. I opted to replace it. What I didn't realize is that to replace the product I had to pay the difference of the price I paid last week for the stryrofoamed wrapped product to the tubed packages that were the only product available at the time I exchanged this week. The difference was $9.50 additional to the price I paid the week before! I said no, just give me a refund. I should of kept it and ignored the message in BOLD letters on the receipt and cooked it to 160F. I called Kroger to complain. When an item is recalled usually the corporations repair or replace the item at no cost to the consumer, not charge them more. I should of got it at Safeway where it was on sale for slightly less and wasn't recalled. Oh well.

Goat hops on bus...doesn't have right fare

Goat Reunited With Owner After Boarding Bus

A pygmy goat boarded a commuter bus in southeast Portland Monday night, leading a bus dispatcher to call 911.You can't ride TriMet without a ticket or a pass, especially, if you're a goat.
Officials said the bus was on layover at Southeast 94th Avenue and Foster Road when the goat wandered through the bus doors.
Concerned of nearby freeway and street traffic, the bus driver alerted TriMet dispatchers."I've got a very strange request," the caller told an emergency dispatcher. "A goat is on our bus. We need him off."
A Portland police officer took the 47-pound pygmy goat to a Multnomah County Animal Services shelter in Troutdale. The officer attached a note to the goat; it read: "Didn't have the correct fare."

Spurs are out...wahhhhhhh!

ABC/ESPN is getting their wet dream, it looks like this...Lakers-Celtics 20 years later.

I worked every night when the Lakers and Spurs played so I watched zero minutes of the series, and that is good because I would be frustrated!

2 of the games with a 20 point lead demolished by Kobe sucks and his crew. Yes Kobe sucks, but I do respect how well he is playing, especially this season and playoffs where he is getting his team involved and not going out each game solo.

Oh well, then again Spurs never had back to back titles. This is the last hurrah for Barry and Horry too.

Harvey Korman, Mel Blanc, & Phil Hartman

Sadly Harvey Korman passed away yesterday at age 81, he survived a ruptured aortic aneurysm in his abdomen four months ago, but subcommed to it after several operations.

Mel Blanc passed away in 1989, he would of been 100 today. In todays Oregonian I learned a couple things about the man of a thousand voices. He was born in San Francisco, but raised in Portland where he attended Lincoln High and did radio announcing on KEX and KGW radio up till 1935 where he moved to Hollywood, and the rest was well....That's All Folks!

It's been 10 years this week now when Phil Hartman was killed by his wife in his prime. Still sad.

Equal love to all members of Bauhaus

My Last.FM overall artists listening list (as of 5/27) shows I give equal time to both Peter Murphy and Love & Rockets.

That will change though, listening to a bunch of Peter Murphy. He is playing Saturday in Portland. He'll be performing his solo hits and Bauhaus material! This will be my 2nd time seeing him solo, 3rd overall (saw Bauhaus). I don't have tickets, planning to purchase at the door, which is cheaper than the fees Ticketbastard adds.
